This is “deep chill” fresh turkey. What does this mean? You may notice an ice shell on the outside of the bird. To ensure the freshest possible turkey, we keep the fresh birds at a deep chill temperature, 32 degrees. Meat freezes at 28 degrees even though water freezes at 32. Rest assured our turkeys have never been frozen and the ice shell will disappear after several hours in your home refrigerator.

What size turkey do I need? We recommend 1 to 1.5 pounds per person. More if you have big eaters and want leftovers.

Do whole turkeys contain giblets? Yes, each whole turkey includes a bag of giblets, which you will find in the neck cavity.

Is the plastic hock-lock oven safe? Yes, but you should remove it if you plan to deep-fry your turkey.
